The Parable of the Unjust Judge

The parable of the unjust judge is probably the one that I dislike most.  Mostly because its accepted interpretation doesn't make any sense.  We're given "judge gets annoyed by nagging and gives in" and told it means "God listens to you."  A more one-to-one interpretation of the parable would be "God will give in when you nag Him enough too."  Except this is not doctrine.  God is way more patient than the judge is and He can say no for a very long time.
A part of me just wants to reject the parable outright and just accept the message as being the important part to listen to.  But, as I thought about it, there is an interpretation of the parable that works: a man who hates you will do whatever he can to make you go away, even give you everything you ask him for; God, however, loves you enough to not give you everything you ask for, even if you're persistent about it, because He'd rather you ask for things that are good for you and that you work to achieve them.
