Short Story: Geeks in the Asylum

This is an idea that's been bouncing around my head for a while, but I didn't think of how to present it until I was trying to go to bed last night. It took a little over an hour to write this morning. Enjoy!

Geeks in the Asylum

"So, Doctor Jones, what do you know about our asylum?"
"Very little. I understand that you have some interesting patients here."
"Interesting does not even begin to describe it. For many months now, it seems like we get a new crazy every week. They just show up wandering the woods, usually asking one of three questions: 'Where am I?' 'What am I doing here?' or 'How does it end?'. Those usually come with words most improper in mixed company."
"Most fascinating. Tell me, do the patients come from the same town? Perhaps you have mistaken a cultural practice for insanity."
"That's what's really strange. No one has known anyone else beforehand, but they are able to share very few words before they act as if they have known each other for their whole lives."
"Could they be members of an organization that uses secrecy at its center?"
"I don't think they were before, but they are now. They call themselves the Federation."
"How did this Federation come to be?"
"Well, it all started when a fellow named Luke came here. He by himself wasn't much, but when Jim arrived, they started talking about crazy things about stars. Luke started calling himself Anakin Skywalker and Jim decided he should be called Spock. Most of the arrivals since then have quickly chosen new names and joined the Federation. I've tried to figure out what has caused all of this many times, but one of the rules of the Federation is to not talk about it to anyone outside of it."
"Do you know how to join this Federation?"
"A fellow who calls himself the Twelfth Doctor is usually responsible for interrogation of new arrivals. All I know is that the first question is usually 'how do you kill the witch of the west?' I think the answer is throw her in the lake and see if he floats, but when I attempted to join the Federation myself, they became suspicious and have forbidden future attempts from me. If you want to try, be my guest."
"Perhaps I will, but it may be wise for you to tell me anything else that you know."
"Let's see...there's a blond fellow who tries to be called Harry Potter, but everyone else insists he's Draco Malfoy. 'Anakin' is frequently called 'Dark Vader.' One girl almost made it into the Federation, but they forbade her after she decided to be called Bella Swan. I suppose they didn't appreciate the fact that she had a normal name."
"Are there any women in the Federation?"
"Oh, sure. There's Trinity, Katniss, Scarlett O'Hara, Nancy Drew... I'm not quite sure how Nancy ended up having a normal name, but the Federation accepted her. Maybe they just didn't like that Bella is obsessed with getting bitten by a vampire."
"That does seem to indicate insanity even the mentally ill would not want to deal with. I would like to speak with her about the experience--perhaps she may provide insight when I try to speak with the Federation."
"She's right through that door. I wish you luck, Doctor."
***
"What do you want? Who are you? I'm only talking to you if your name is Edward--"
"You are Bella Swan I take it? I want you to never reveal the Federation's secrets to anyone."
"The Federation never let me in on any secrets--they refused to tell me how Twilight ended!"
"If I tell you when she becomes a vampire will you keep quiet?"
"Did the Federation send you?"
"No. I'm the one who sent the Federation to this time period. I'm Doctor Henry Jones Jr. You may call me Indiana."
