No Nanowrimo

I am not doing Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) this year. I am, however, writing up a storm. I've written over 10,000 words since the month started, more than half of that since the week started. Y'lutem'lo is really taking off. Lots of things have happened, but the most significant thing is that Quikterr has invented the Hydrogen-bomb--and it just detonated. One viewpoint character died immediately, another will be dead soon, one I'm still deciding on, and I just brought in my 13th viewpoint character who I think is going to survive. Maybe. For now.

Now the main reason I am not doing Nanowrimo is this: the rules say I have to start a story from scratch. I have a few ideas that I could have gone off on, but the one I'm working on now is too interesting to stop just yet. Besides, even if I could have counted this book, I would still be behind. I should be at 30,000. Even counting the 15k I wrote before November started, I would be behind.

  1. You're amazing! That's a ton of words. Can't believe you can write that many and still get school work done. Sidenote: why the change in font color? Yellow is hard for me to read. :-0!

  2. This book has gone from 14,133 to 41,031 words in 30 days. That is a total of 26,898 words in the month of November.
